HOW TO USE THIS RESOURCE

It is recommended that candidates spend 1 hour per day and review ten cases to build technique over several months. Going through all the material twice will be of value to enhance learning.

  1. This is a medical teaching resource intended for candidates preparing for the FRCR 2B Viva Exam. It has not been designed for clinical practice and should not be used as a substitute for radiology training.
  2. Users are required to adhere to the standards of good practice as set out by the GMC when using this resource. Password sharing is prohibited and if the algorithm identifies this, the account will be terminated and the evidence forwarded to the GMC for review.
  3. The creator of this database has over ten years of experience in FRCR 2B Viva teaching and the suggestions made are on the basis of this experience.  However, users are required to use their own judgement to use this material in the exam.
  4. The Course Material does not guarantee a pass in the viva exam.
  5. Video Analysis is offered for Chest Radiographs, Abdominal Radiographs and Plain Film cases. Model answers only for Paediatrics, Breast and Nuclear Medicine. The wording of the clinical information and answering maybe different on the videos compared to the individual modules. 
  6. Clinical scenario where given have been created to support FRCR 2B Viva Good Exam Technique. Clinical information is sometimes withheld for cases to allow for an opportunity to test candidates.
  7. Nuclear Medicine and Breast sections of the resource have been designed for candidates with minimal experience in this area and focuses on basic cases. These include examples of normal cases to facilitate learning.
