Bone scan of an adult patient. Multiple low areas of uptake present in the thoracic spine and over the sacrum. Abnormal multiple uptake within the ribs. The appearance on imaging is suggestive of metastatic cancer. Physiological uptake in weight bearing joints is demonstrated.
