75 year old with leg pain struggling to walk
X-ray of the left lower limb in an adult patient. There is evidence of permeative bony change with laminated periosteal reaction involving the femur. The appearance raises concern for an aggressive bony lesion. This could represent a primary tumour such as sarcoma. I would recommend an urgent MRI scan to evaluate further and a staging CT examination of the chest abdomen pelvis with contrast.
