69 year old with shortness of breath and chest pain.
Answer
Chest radiograph of adult female patient. Nodular densities are projected over the left lower lobe. Adjacent atelectasis. These areas contain air bronchograms. No cavitation. No additional lung lesions. No hilar adenopathy. No pleural effusions. Both breast shadows are intact. No bony lesions appreciated. The appearance on imaging is suggestive of an inflammatory process. Given the clinical history I would recommend a repeat x-ray following a course of antibiotics after 6 weeks.
